Many people think that the best condom is the one that is thinnest, and therefore least noticeable. For many years this was the approach of several condom manufacturers, who tried to make condoms as thin as possible and yet still strong enough for the task at hand. But not until recently have manufacturers started to take a different approach, creating a condom that's noticeable, and provide extra pleasure through extra stimulation.
Guys admit it you all think about penis size, your focus on the length. But when it comes to condoms it can be the width that makes a big difference in your comfort. Guys that tend to have wider than the average penis often times complain particularly about the ring at the base of a condom. If you know you're a built a little wider but aren't longer, then there're a few brands out there that are wider but not longer. Also brands that are only wider at the head.
On average most condoms are just about seven and a half inches long, which is significantly longer than the average penis length. But some guys need a longer condom for a good fit. Most large style condoms are both a bit longer and a tad bit wider. Plus keep in mind that using a condom that's longer than you need, can also be a problem. If there is still a lot of condom rolled up in the ring at the base, it can feel snugger, and can be more noticeable or uncomfortable.
Each manufacture uses a slightly different type of latex, and each company's condoms fit a little differently. Also different brands within one company may be different in size and texture, but if it's the type of latex, or the overall fit in general that you don't like, you'll be better off trying a different company altogether.
If ever a condom is irritating it may be a skin reaction. You might have a latex allergy, or a reaction to the kind of lubricant on the condom (if you're using a pre-lubricated condom). If you're concerned you might be allergic to latex condoms, you can experiment with non-latex condoms. If it's not the latex, you might want to switch to a non-lubricated condom, and just add your ownpersonal lubricantfor increased sensitivity and to reduce breakage.
